- Say a few words about our new couple and the half I met first, Leslie.
- We both moved to D.C. right after graduating to start jobs and figure out what we were going to do with our lives.
- From the time I met her, it was pretty clear that Leslie was the type of person who knew what she wanted and would go the distance to get it.
- Most of her life goals seemed rather attainable: career with purpose, nice snowboard, time spent outdoors, friends to enjoy these with.
- But she had one that worried me a little...she wanted to marry someday but the job description was a fearsome list: prince charming, romantic, dancer, hiker, snowboarder, handyman, intelligent, someone who is willing to move to Alaska?
- Obviously, things looked a little bleak.
- But then we started hearing about some guy named Thomas.
- To be honest, I was even more worried now.
- She obviously was making this guy up!
- But eventually, he materialized and the engagement was announced.
- I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Thomas and Leslie on finding each other and to wish them well as they forge ahead to discover life together, our country together, and each other together. Good luck to you both.
