Leslie and Thomas are truly a couple of the world. They are both adventurers not only of this earth, but also of the heart and mind. Leslie and Thomas...The wonderful people you are now are reflections of your loving relationships with your family and friends, the strength of your faith and the commitment and love you have for each other.

Leslie: Many of those who you love and love you are here now sharing in this momentous occasion. You have only to look around you. Two special guests that you always see with your heart's eyes are your mom and brother Jon-Jon. They have and will continue to be a tremendous influence in your life. Your mom is present now as real as any one of us here before you. She's present in the person that you are and has actively participated in this day through her necklace and ring that you have chosen to wear now. She played a part as meaningful as your father walking you down the aisle. As she has been with you every day of your life, she is with you now.

As for Jon-Jon, if you recall, he would tease you by dubbing all of your male admirers as "flies" -always swarming around you, the object of their affection. Right now, he would be the first to congratulate you and that "fly" sitting next to you for being the one to finally succeed in landing your heart. But, he would have to set you straight, Thomas. You're the "Number Two Fly". Jon-Jon will always consider himself the "Original, Number One Fly" for Leslie.

Thomas: You've brought a new light into Leslie's life that is apparent for all of us to see. I've had the pleasure of getting to know you better over the last few days. In my temporary delusions brought on by jet lag and sleep deprivation, I volunteered to help you clean the house you once occupied with 3 other bachelors. There's nothing like cleaning out a refrigerator that only be described as a science experiment and hauling endless bags of trash and an old dirty couch all the way to Maryland's Garbage Dumping Grounds to really bond that fledgling friendship. After I recovered from my initial horror over the experience, I've observed characteristics in you that made Leslie fall in love. A few that I would like to share with you today are your commitment to your responsibilities and friends, hardworking nature-not being afraid to roll-up your sleeves and dive into the work, your optimism and tenacity even against the odds and your consideration for others. Also, I want to thank you for opening your heart and home to us. It's no ordinary man who can still maintain his sanity and composure having three bridesmaids invade his home for several days, sharing his one shower, and demanding his help on any number of things. It's no ordinary man that Leslie would choose to share her life or one that can keep up with her and nurture her spirit.

In keeping with the medieval theme, you have now taken oaths of allegiance to be each other's champion knights, serving as staunch defenders of the other's honor. In accepting this calling, you demonstrate your noble intentions to be faithful and true to each other and this marriage. In any challenge or joust that you face together, these sacred promises will always bring you victory and glory.

A toast to Leslie and Thomas. We wish you both the love you deserve, all the adventure that you seek and may the grace of God be with you both on this magnificent journey.
